Alright, So I go into my Custom Skin folder and I see my skin I have selected. But when I go and launch my Hollow knight game it shows the "Select your skin" Or whatever it says but when I go to select it it doesn't load. Is there anything I did wrong?

check if its the right folder, maybe you put a folder, that has another folder inside it that contains the immages, thats a folder too much and wont work, just a folder with images

I restarted the game, computer and I deinstalled and reinstalled it and it's now unmodded but the inputs are extremely laggy. Does someone have an idea how to fix this? I played like 300hrs of the modded version already without any issues. Yesterday it was working just fine and I booted the game up today and experienced this input lag. I restarted the game (didn't fix it), I restarted my computer (didn't fix it), I unmodded hk via steam (didn't fix it), I deinstalled and reinstalled it (didn't fix it) and nothing in my setup or hardware changed... what kind of better info could help with understanding the issue?

I got the 'impossible any% 1.1.zip'. When I select 'Manually Install Mods' and choose the zip it puts 94 json files in the hollow knight root folder.

Likely because those files are in your downloads folder. Search your game files for files with the similar names (crossroads_1 or whatever). I suggest you move those into a new folder somewhere you won't forget, and then put the new files where they were.

If you don't move the old files you will have to uninstall and reinstall your game if you ever want to turn the mod off

You want Sprite Packer and Go Dump

Go Dump will generate atlas files and then create individual PNG files of each frame in each animation. Sprite Packer will let you view them as individual animations and then repack them as an atlas when you're done

It makes the whole process significantly easier.

That should pretty much be everything you need

After that you just click the mods you want in the mod installer and it will install them

if you are installing it in a weird location you'll need to give it the location of your hollow_knight_Data folder, but if you aren't it will find hollow knight automatically

Also, if you're new to PC, you might look up a few tutorials on navigation and files, just so you don't run into similar issues a lot.

Trying to set up a multiworld but running into some issues in not being aware of what to do.

I edited MultiWorldMod.GlobalSettings.json to have my username and my IP address as the host in the file, and ran the server exe and was able to click connect and have my token be generated in the console, but my friend is unable to join and we are not sure why. I am port forwarded.

i was playing around with custom skins and i started healing really fast and at a low soul cost (9-10 times on a full gauge)
this only happened on the save which i used for testing the skins, but it persists after disabling all mods and even verifying file integrity
