change "assembly-CSharp.dll" to "assembly-CSharp.vanilla"

then close and reopen the installer

or actually, just put this in its place

so what's happening is when i do that, it's doing the same thing before. ill show you. but when i do the verify game integrity it replaces that .dll back to the correct one.

so when i have the one you linked it screws the game up

It just highlights different options. If you cycle through them you can see what is highlighted and that's what they do, or you can just highlight whatever you want and play your own way.

I would recommend starting with Super Mini Junk Pit first.

Emo Tracker is not great for Hollow Knight, no. The map mod is very good. I used Emo Tracker at first.

On Windows not much. I've used both and never had problems. On Mac you need 2

The big question marks are things you are able to check in your current settings (easy medium hard etc). The different colours indicate what they are.

Red are items
Grey are rocks
Blue are cocoons
Purple are totems

Only the ones you have on should show up, if not then you need to make sure you've got the right version of Rando and map mod

Keep the port on 26950 unless you feel like editing code.
Either the host needs to port forward the port 26950 or everyone needs to use hamachi or a program like hamachi.

But you can also copy your saves file to back it up if you're worried

Nope! If anyone else is connected to your ip on the multiplayer mod and they set it up correctly and they aren’t unlucky, then if you are in the same room, you will see them

just use the installer

and check off what you want

mods should show up top left of title screen in a list

if there is nothing there, you need to check "modding api (windows)" on the installer

and as far as new saves, depends on the mod. if you're opening an existing save that you care about though, make a copy of it first. b/c mods can permanently change things
