ok nah the issue was 100% one of the mods I had installed, just tested it

when the game starts, theres a super short cutscene of a black screen with lights floating around, then it cuts to the character lying on the ground

#

when that happens nothing works, and disabling the other mods causes that to not happen

so id assume its the bonfire mod or smth

So I installed hk mods a while back and then used the 'verify integrity' option on steam to get rid of them for a bit. Now when I download the mod installer it doesn't appear to be working(i.e. does not show any text in the top left and loads normally). Is there another step I need to do to re-download the mods? Hey all, I used the modified debug mod from this discord (latest game version) to load SaveState. Unfortunately I loaded before I saved one time. I quit the game, but after that, the game states reset (shortcuts, collected items, switches, grubs). Is there any way to restore this, or is the information lost forever?

I suspect this is because you respawn at the beginning area, and the game resets the world state there.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear enough. Here are the actions I took:

Used the debug mode from the F1 menu to "Load SaveState", before making a "Make SaveState"
My game then loaded into the beginning area (an area with a rope?), and I am stuck there
I quit the game, loaded my last savefile
Now, my game respawns items/grubs/masks/shortcut switches that I've picked up/hit before

also, the point of save states is to load back the state the game was in when that save state was made, so things that you've done since making that save state will be back to how they were then, including switches, grubs, etc

save states don't just move your character, they also revert the "time"

When items are randomized, locations are filled in order as they can be reached with the progression items already placed. Those hints don't take in account any information other than the order determined by the randomizer when the file is created

So I activated the Custom Knight Mod and I put the Young Hornet files in there, but it's not working in game

hello guys! running the mods for the first time and trying to get them working: my issue so far is that the controller isn't making the character move (but the right stick does move the camera up/down)

Should be XInput. My game isn't compatible with DirectInput, so that could be an issue if your controller is using DirectInput. Not sure why that happens for me though.

the images need to be in a folder within the customknight directory, that's why they were in a Default folder when you downloaded the mod

I havent been able to get debug to work on 1221, it opens as normal, but it doesnt recognize the mod, I dont even get a fail to load notif. I have included a screenshot of the managed folder within the debug save, and I have the debug dll inside the mod folder. I'm assuming its something I did wrong with the API, but I dont know what. Please help?

Is it possible to use a controller to play the game when mods are installed? I can connect it to the computer, but it won't respond on the game. I have Debug and Benchwarp on if that helps.

you bound something to your dash sounds like, delete the globalsettings.json in your saves, if you want to still go back to vanilla, just open up the installer and hit revert back to unmodded
