do you have only one copy of the game
the game was closed and i only have one copy
did you press enable button
try closing it and reopening it while the game is closed, should download the API
that's probably all you're missing
did you set the path correctly when it first loaded?
it might be that it's trying to install mods in the wrong location
unless it's already done that, and it put it aside, which is what the "enable all" button does
still haven't said if you've pressed that button or not
the installer wouldn't even show the main mod screen if it wasn't pointed to the game directory
and since they only have one copy installed, it's going to the right place
that's why I asked that question

It's a mod for streaming, so the tracker only appears on the webpage for browser capture
that's the problem, nothing appears on the browser page, and in game, PlayerDataDump shows UNKNOWN
as if datas weren't hooked from my game
no, that just means the creator didn't bother to set a version number
You have to open the game for anything to appear
its opened, i even tried picking up some items to see if it would update

I checked them all to true and I just got city crest from false knight, is that just the random or am I doing something wrong?
restrictions are what you need in order to enter temple of the black egg
so you made it so that you need to kill all bosses, get all skills, and get all charms

Not sure if this is the right place to ask..... but I used the item randomizer, and the logic appears that if I have mothwing cloak and dash slash I can kill the elder baldurs. Can anyone tell me how this is done?
can you hit them with dash slash?
also, with mothwing you can go to fungal
where you can get more items
and possibly something to kill the baldurs

hmmm.... maybe I'm just getting too close. Is it super precise? They seem to curl up by the time the nail hits them. I used the "helper" log which told me I was missing one location I had not checked other than the two guarded by the baldurs and I got isma's tear so I'm working that angle now. Thanks!

Don't think I ever even tested that, it just seems kinda obvious that it would work
I was WAY too close. I used the one in the snail shaman area to practice.... once I realized how far away I should be, it was easy and I was able to get that baldur shell check as well. I also didn't realize you could kill them with longnail. Spells and minions are obvious, but this was brand new to me. The rando has really made me learn about new approaches to how to use the items/abilities.

Mag skips would have you going to the thorns charm location without dash, double jump, or claw

Yes, mods can be installed on a mac.
You can use the installer
To run the installer:
- Open the Terminal
- Type
cd $(dirname - Drag the exe onto the terminal.
- Type
)then hit Return/Enter - Type
mono --arch=32(Note the space at the end) - Drag the exe onto the terminal and then hit Return/Enter
If this fails with bash: mono: command not found then
- install mono here
- Open a new terminal window
- Type/paste in
export PATH=/usr/local/bin:${PATH}and hit Return/Enter - Repeat steps 2-6 above.

Pardon me, but is there a way to manually remove the Infinite Notches mod? I installed it with some other mods a couple months back, and the others were successfully removed but that one still works, even when there is no mod indicator on the top left of the main menu screen.
Disable mod in game and then uninstall it from the Modinstaller can be an option?
I can't access the Mods menu in-game. The selection arrow skips right over it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, reinstalled the mod installer and used it to remove every mod, manually deleted the mod folder, etc.
Not that it messes with my gameplay, but it's been getting on my nerves a bit.
Enable Infinite Notches from modinstaller
Go to MODS section in game and turn Infinite Notches from on to off
Go to Modinstaller and uninstall/disable Infinite Notches

Infinite Notches may or may not have edited your save
and I'm not sure if it has code to revert/if said code works

so, you may or may not wanna go get your saves to look through them
for whatever reason pretty much all the charm data's stored there
There is a way to revert infinite notches if it gets stuck without editing your save because I've done it before
including charm cost n things

I dunno what it applies to, this depends on at what moment the mod loads and what it overrides

Hi, im experiencing a problem with the randomizer mod. the mods it requires load fine, but when i open the game with the randomizer mod it shows a load screen, plays some music, and crashes. the log says hollow_knight.exe caused an access violation. can someone help?

im using the Mod Manager v.8.5.2 to download mods. disabling just the randomizer mod makes it work fine

Loading something in the menu crashes the game if you have controller plugged in

Mentioned in #archived-modding-development, playing randomizer v2.b and having trouble finding next movement item, only dash in greenpath. Looking at helper log, I see "grubberfly's elegy" and "king's idol - grubs", and "*charm notch - colosseum" Everything else I've gotten. Grubdaddy's sparks didn't at least show any movement powers, I do have one more grub I can save, but I have absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to get to the Colosseum from Dirtmouth with just dash.
