Well it's when I use debug mod.

@graceful dome Start up HK with the Infinite Grimm mod on, then close the game.
There should be a file called InfiniteGrimm.GlobalSettings.json in your saves folder.
Open this in Notepad and change the 4th and 5th "false" entries under "BoolValues" > "values" to "true" (no parentheses). These correspond to Nightmare God Grimm being on and having finite health.

some of the boss mods aren't working for me. I get pale prince to work; toggle it on, hit the dream and fight, but bosses like the mantis gods/lost lord don't have any interactables on their statue or change names. Am i missing something?
Pretty sure those are at their actual game locations? Could be wrong there. Don't know much about those mods

I got a problem with the modcommon.dll file not loading properly also enemy randomizer is failing to load. otherwise i have enemy hp bar, rando map mod, randomizer mod, and, unofficial hollow knight patch. It's giving me the full file location of mod common and i don't believe any of the mods are actually working due to this. any ideas?

thats the installer with that error code
that's the auto updater
could also delete the file in appdata/local/modinstaller
or redownload the installer

I'm having an issue with modcommon and randomizer 2 is unavailable at the new game menu
Hello! I'm having a similar issue. According to the ModLog.txt, there are no problems loading the Randomizer 2 mod, but the RandomizerMod version shows up as 2b.17
Same problem here, modcommon.dll and randomizer2.0.dll are unloadable, and the ModInstaller.exe is also broken, I uninstall mods but the next time I start up the ModInstaller, they are back for some reason.
(that is with the newest version of rando that you download directly from the pinned message in #randomizer, it doesn't give the error message if you let the ModInstaller update the randomizer, but the randomizer doesn't work in any case)

The Rando 2 doesn't load for me though, when I select a new game it gives me the 'Classic' 'Steelmode', etc. menu instead of the randomizer options

For example RandoMap Mod. I click the "uninstall" button in the Mod Manager, but next time I opened it up, it was installed again, like I never clicked the button

The file can get broken when save settings change, or when I change how randomizer actions work
but who knows what did it for that person
He didn't even update the Randomizer mod, only the API, and that broke the file, which was indicated by the place for Sharp Shadow being empty, no pickup.
(And no, he definitely hadn't picked up that thing yet)

How do I modify Sanic mods speedup? I know it’s 1.5x by default but I’d like to make it 2x
So I got the version of the randomizer that changes charm notches and pale ore and stuff.
When I did the Trials in the Colosseum, though, I just got Arcane Eggs. I was pretty sure those weren't supposed to be randomized yet, same as the other relics?
Also, one of the randomised things from the Seer was also an Arcane Egg, despite her giving me a non-randomised one as well.
After the 'charm notch' from Grimm also became an Arcane Egg, I get the feeling they're acting as placeholders. I'm not sure why though - you'd think there were the same amount of slots as items, and that it was just the positions which were randomised?
I certainly hope it hasn't run out early, I still don't even have the Monarch Wings.
In a separate issue, I get the feeling this mod making Voidheart cost 5 notches wasn't intentional.

When you created your seed, you marked a setting to replace long locations with arcane eggs
...Huh. I remember the setting but I thought 'Completionist' preset made it off? Kind of annoying, I was hoping to actually have to do those.

If you're using the one from the ModInstaller, it apparently has a bug that requires you to go into a save file and quit to menu again before you can create a new rando file.

here's a build so you don't have to do that
Make sure the mod is installed and start the game. The level is automatically patched when loaded?
Go to HKEdit->Save Level and save it in the HKWEDiffs folder (see below) as levelxxx where xxx is the number of level. (If the scene was loaded in the list of scenes, it will be in square brackets by the name, otherwise use the original file name)
In the Hollow Knight root dir, if HKWEDiffs folder does not exist, create it and save it in that folder with the same name as the level you opened
Delete the other generated files (HKWEDiffs, HKWEDiffs.manifest, levelxxx.manifest)
so make folder here

I remember the black thing happening when I tried levels in the forgotten crossroads but when I tested in godhome and the waterways it worked fine
right now I'm moving the assetid changing code to the editor so it should fix a lot of issues coming from the game but it'll take a few days to get it out

the log that gets printed when a file is loaded isnt showing up but its erroring on a line after the log is printed

for some reason that level is loaded by name, and the fake scene list is only created after when one new level diff file is loaded

It was the editor that is broken, and the fix for it isn't easy so I'm rewriting the editor

So instead I am flipping roles, instead of me loading the scenes and unity saving, I'll have unity load and my code save
So improved load times and less weird bugs that come out
Plus you'll be able to edit all components not just transform

I don't really know where to write this - I think I found a bug (almost a pun) in the randomizer 2.8. I got Lurien from City Crest and planned to proceed to Ancestral Mound but got stuck between two infections on both sides of the passage between False Knight room and the Ancestral Mound room.

If you were making a full retexture, it would probably be way easier just to edit the resS rather than trying to find a way to differentiate textures of the same name
Most assets are rgba32 so as long as they were the same size it would be fine

Yes, mods can be installed on a mac.
You can use the installer
To run the installer:
- Open the Terminal
- Type
cd $(dirname - Drag the exe onto the terminal.
- Type
)then hit Return/Enter - Type
mono --arch=32(Note the space at the end) - Drag the exe onto the terminal and then hit Return/Enter
If this fails with bash: mono: command not found then
- install mono here
- Open a new terminal window
- Type/paste in
export PATH=/usr/local/bin:${PATH}and hit Return/Enter - Repeat steps 2-6 above.

What am i doing wrong, when i take the .dll file for this and put it into the mods folder, "ExampleMod 1" appears in the top left corner but nothing happens. It doesn't even show up in the mods section of the Options menu

iirc afterattack isn't technically after the attack, but at the end of the attack, so that might be it

im one of the 5 people who play hollow knight and find the path of pain fun. i did it a few times with the infinite PoP mod and now i wanna do it backwards but the pain of the path mod isnt working. it displays like this in my game and the PoP is normal when i enter. any ideas?
i find it to be quite enjoyable. i can beat it in about 20 minutes now

Check the pins in #randomizer for 2.8.1. The randomizer in the mod installer no longer works with the current API
