To manually install mods on 1.5.78.
🔹 Download the mod (it'll be either a dll file or a folder).
🔹 Go to your /Mods folder and create a folder with the name of the mod.
Note: You can use your installer to Open the Mods Folder
🔹 Move the mod file(s) into the newly created folder.
➡️ Run the game.

Cause then I would die immediately, I use ascended to train myself cause if I get hit, I can still end the fight and calculate the time needed to beat the boss

Then I can go radiant knowing that if I last a certain amount of time while giving a costant amount of hits, I can make it

Impossible True Ending is not a stand alone mod, it's a Decorations Master map. You need Decorations Master mod & you need to see if the map you're playing is compatible with 1.5 or if it needs 1.4.

You shouldn't need to put rando anywhere, if you use Scarab to install it, because Scarab will put it in the correct place (assuming you set Scarab up correctly)

HKMP puts a copy of each player into each other players world. Enemies have separate health and can be in different places; items/abilities must be collected separately; breakable objects must be broken separately.
A player's attack will happen in each player's world, damaging any enemies/players it comes in contact with. A player is only hurt by the enemies in their own world.

Alright, so I've gone through and did all of that to realize Scarab isn't there.

Sometimes when trying to change size at the beginning of the game (while falling into King's Pass) it'll set my width to 0, making me fall through the world. Quitting to menu and loading the save fixes this
If you stand on the edge of a platform that's high enough and change size, you'll fall through the world. If the ledge is not high enough you'll be teleported to the ground beneath you

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

I bought the game on steam, and I installed randomizer4 and all it's dependencies. everything worked perfect. I then was downpatching the game to 1221 to get into speedrunning, and beforehand I moved all the things in the "Mods" folder onto my desktop, in fear that the otherwise might be broken or something.
In retrospect, I should have just moved them to the "disabled" folder, but I didn't see that at the time.
the downpatching went perfectly. I copied the downpatched version, and updated the original back to current patch. But upon putting my mods back and launching it, it seemed to be completely vanilla. I'm not sure what I did wrong, or how to fix it.
I don't know why this would help, but the pinned message said to provide it so here's a screenshot of my title screen right now:

Both work with rando (as noted in their descriptions) if either is causing something not to work you may have an out of date dependency.

Another thing to note:
The Randomizer Mods (specifically Menu Changer) require that you have a standard 16:9 resolution. If you are not playing on one, then you may need to go into the main menu, go to video settings, and reset your resolution to one of the presets; then restart your game.

Hello, I've a problem with Scarab. So I have Hollow Knight on the Game pass and it works great and recently I've try to install Scarab but he can't find the "path" to Hollow Knight data. I've follow Fireborn's video of How to install mods on Hollow knight but the only problem is that Scarab can't find hollow knight data. I've install scarab 1.19.0.0/////My game is on version 5.80.11835.0 and on Xbox Game pass. How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that the installer has been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder.
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".

If you installed randomizer 4 the dependencies should have been downloaded too, but you can check if that's the case. They need to be enabled, but I think Scarab does that automatically too

When using HKMP for group rando with item sync, my game will open the pause menu but not actually stop. So I can continue to get hit by enemies, despite the pause menu being up. Not much else to describe, just trying to take stock of my benches and warp but preferably without dying :’)) lmk if I should share what other mods I have on, but honestly I’m super new and only have the basic stuff necessary to run a group rando with benchwarp on.
