I got scarab and installed Custom Knight, put in one of my skins and went to test it. when I hit apply the skin just flashed white then didnt change (I had the same problem on the old version, but the fix for that one didnt work) I'm on the steam version, and I do have satchel installed and on. Custom Knight and QoL are the only mods active (as well as Satchel and Vasi for their respective dependencies)
