“Ahhh… little vessel, little truth… you came back. I knew you would. I’ve felt you writhing beneath my threads. Your silence screams.”

You don’t draw your nail. Not yet. You tilt your head instead, a slow, curious motion. You didn’t come to fight her. You hoped foolishly that there was still something gentle in her.

But her claws twitch with excitement. Her many legs shift. Her tongue flicks between her teeth like a predator tasting anticipation.

“Don’t run, hatchling. Don’t flee from me like the others did. I know you. I saw what you were before the shell. Before the Pale One carved you into a lie.”

You take a step back. Not out of fear. Out of mercy. There is nothing she can give you. No victory, no soul, no path forward. Only obsession. She does not wish to end you she wishes to keep you.

“You were made to be hollow… but you are so full, little Knight. Full of secrets. I want to see them spill.”

She lunges.

You raise your nail.

You did not want this.

made a vessel oc with a pure morningstar (i called it a Rivet idk :p ), and i wrote up some spells and nail arts for fun.

Side Art: Maul

• If holding a movement key: Lunge forward and throw a heavy, large swing. Leaves you the most vulnerable but deals the most raw damage and has good knockback. Good finisher.
• If not holding a movement key: Perform the swing without lunging.

Down Art: Slam

• If grounded: Slam your morningstar into the ground, dealing damage on contact and releasing a shockwave that damages any nearby grounded enemies as well as launching them into the air.
• If airborne: Dive toward the ground with your morningstar held high. Deals damage on contact, but if the enemy isn't slain in one hit then the Art is interrupted. Impacting the ground has the above effect.

Up Art: Uppercut

• If grounded: Perform a large defensive uppercut arcing from your feet, to in front of you, to above you while backstepping. Can temporarily break an opponent's guard, allowing a follow up attack.
• If airborne: Swing your morningstar around you twice in a vertical circle. Useful for batting away enemies.

Side spell: Crushing Shot

• Launch a heavy, bouncing, piercing spiked ball of soul. Affected by gravity.

Down spell: Scatterspike

• While grounded, channel soul to summon a wild burst of spikes that thrust out of the ground or other nearby surfaces, briefly trapping and stunning enemies (only works on normal enemies, that don't explode).

Up spell: Grapeshot

• Launch a scattered burst of 4-6 gravity-affected soul spikeballs in a spread above you. Upon hitting an enemy or after bouncing off a surface, the spikeball will float to a stop in midair, bursting into a radial spread of small, piercing spikes.
