This is Fracture, they are non-binary (due to being a vessel [all vessels are non-binary]). They choose to spend their time in the colosseum of fools, fighting for glory, fight to feel... emotions. Vessels are made of God(the pale king and white lady) and the void (emphasis on the void). Beings of void struggle to feel things, vessels were meant to have no emotion in order to contain the radiance etc etc. But Fracture was different than most, they are able to feel emotions more freely than most vessels. Due to this, during a fight some bug took advantage of this and tricked them into a false sense of security and almost killed them. Luckily, they have a custom made charm (the center of the cloak) which hardens the shell of any bug to be as hard as a crystal.
