each attack can happen up to 3 times before another is forced
hit meteors up if they get too close
dash under the slam, jump over the shockwave
hitting the armor (not the maggot) resets the stagger timer, allowing for free dnailing/healing (though this is often used as a crutch, hes very doable without it)
3 shrieks with shaman stone is conveniently 360 damage, which is exactly how much health he has every stagger
^ just doing one of these after dashing under slam for the first stagger, then using 3 after every stagger to stunlock him is probably the easiest way to go about it
maggots outside can be dnailed before going in (if theyre not already dead) for starting soul

It’s the eternal problems when multiple compatibility layers stack on top of each other

For me what works is

1. no external program
2. steam input disabled
3. native input disabled

But depending on controller, whether it is plugged or not, and what the current moon phase is this may not work, its triall and error, enable and disable those 3 while rebooting the game each time t’ill it works

That’s kindof a wacky measurement
If you are asking yourself that kind of question it probably means you aren’t in the right mindset
||Mawlek is a boss you can rather easily heal on (wait for it to jump, it will then always jump back to the center)
So you should be able to maintain your health high during the whole fight
Also in case you hadn’t figured it out, dashing over them (or pogoing) is how you dodge the massive barrage of goop blob||

But like if your plan is to deal as much as damage as possible while not being worried about your health praying for the boss to die… that’s not really gonna work

And each of nkg’s attacks, except for spikes which can’t be punished at all since he’s not on screen, can be punished by starting with a nart, usually a great slash or a dash slash. Then it’s just a matter of being able to recognize each attack and respond the same way each time||
