||use strength, quick focus, mark of pride, soul catcher
stay on one side of the arena unless you're in a pinch and too much is going on. In that case simply move to the other side and then stay there. Focus mainly on the soul stealing zotelings. They take 4 hits. Try to get rid of them as quickly as possible, using a spell if necessary in case they fly away. Other than that you can farm soul on the big skulls. Try to focus a bit on the jumping ones, but only if they are near you, so don't chase them. Other than that don't specifically focus on any zoteling.
Note that you can use dive for the I-frames, but I wouldn't spend too much soul on spells. Make sure to heal whenever you can||

Also silksong is harder for a first playthrough. So since silksong is simply more complex, playing hk afterwards will feel much worse and you'll miss out on stuff in silksong if you haven't played hk. The experience is also really useful for silksong specifically regarding stuff like hidden secrets||

Only get in hits where you're absolutely confident, but don't be scared to pull a risky maneuver in a tight spot, especially when you have Shade Dash at your disposal.

When Markoth is further away, you have time to stay in one spot and dodge the spikes as they come at you, until Markoth starts spinning his shield. Wait for an opening, then go in to lay into him with the nail.||
