||focus on spells and nailarts (even if you're not used to it, try to learn it). So shaman stone, spell twister, soul catcher, nailmaster's glory, shape of unn, grubsong/dream wielder would be an example.
Try to always have a great slash charged and use it a lot. Don't hold back on spells since you have a lot of should with this build and they deal a lot of damage with a big area of effect. And make sure to heal when you're able to.

Charms that only affect your normal nail attacks aren't great as they don't support the nailart/spell playstyle which is ideal for the Colo||

And mastering nailarts or spells or any strat is not incredibly difficult. You just need to be open to it and actively use it||

||narts give a lot of knockback. So there is no risk being stuck in place if you hit them. You can use heavy blow as well if you'd like, which is actually very viable for radiant markoth.

And yeah, it takes time getting used to a new strat. But that's the case for most mechanics. The more you play, the easier it gets. It's not like Matt's are simply hard and bad on controller though. Without them, stuff like p5ab would be twice as hard on controller||

I've rarely seen someone beat radiant ab collector without using narts except to limit themselves. The difference is much greater than with markoth||

||I had a convo and someone said they had a boss down because they radianted it, they said it like it was usual, turns out they didnt use spells at all, only dive for I-frames, I asked wether they used spells because I had the hunch that just using nail could make you more consistent as you have to learn to deal with each attack to be able to do a boss hitless up close||

||using spells is simply much stronger. So using just the nail is likely gonna take longer and thus need more learning the fight. Just like someone that does itemless bosses is gonna be more consistent at the boss when they beat it.
It has nothing to do with staying closer though as with a spell build you aren't usually any farther away than with a nail build and regardless your distance from the boss doesn't decrease how much you need to learn about it. In fact, being further away would lead to you having to know more about it to specifically know when it can reach you possibly even without being able to properly see its telegraphs.||

||it basically always hits when you stand right next to a boss. So pretty much on any boss that gives you time to use it (which is many). Also of course whenever a boss is above you.

It's nice to note that when facing right while casting it, whatever gets hit will be knocked inward (so always towards you with every hit). This is useful if you want a floating boss to connect with all the hits and stay above you, though it can lead to bosses getting pushed into you (like hornet after a stagger).
If you face left while casting, the opposite happens and everything will be knocked outward, so away from you. This is good if you want to prevent them getting pushed into you||

But yeah, you can use them a lot
