oh that is || that spells become slightly less efective, but unless you are doing some speedrun where you use them a lot then upgrading your nail should be the way. this happens cuz the game scales a bit some enemies health so the nail upgrade isnt tooo powerfull, but spells dont get an upgrade alongside the nail iirc||

It's a calibration issue, you might have to fuck around in some dll files
The SDL2.dll file is the one you need to replace, but that is advanced level computer fuckery so unless you are well versed in that I wouldn't recommend trying this
