For this fight specifically i disagree, despite being one of the few fights where its an okay charm, its also the one that teaches ||how to properly use shade cloak in combat, i feel like this fight is too important to get down properly because of how important what it teaches is and using sharpshadow for it can build just a very bad habit from the getgo||

Yeah it would seem so at first, ||but the inconsistent dash length could put you on really difficult situations depending on the arenas and any kind of projectile or summons a boss could have, and its not a charm you can just add and remove either because you have to consciously keep a mindset, either having the alternating lengths or not, thats big enough a downside already, it also incentivizes consciously and subconsciously as you said to dash through bosses, which can also lead to bad positions, i find the upside of a singular nail hit of damage every time you so happen to go through an enemy (and even less damage than that if using strength) not good enough an upside for the downsides i mentioned, plus the two notches it costs||

Worth noting too that most of the bosses it shines the best in, are all bosses that have better/easier strategies than using it

||The thing with pv is that dashing shouldnt be your main way of avoiding but the thing you use to get out of tricky situations, every singly pv attack except for healing can be avoided by either jumping or jump and pogoing, which also deals more damage than sharp shadow||
||the ground dashes are simple, the daggers attack you jump to have a good position for dashing (which with sharpshadow could actually send you straight into pv so you have to force yourself to reposition) the triple swin you also just pogo off, the void tendriles its a double jump, and the downard spikes are easier to avoid in the air since the top hitboxes are smaller, and it also gives you time to react on which way the spikes are rising||

||personally (all in my experience) one does not preemptively jump in place, all jumps are moving onto a direction, which greatly helps if pv is coming from said direction, and doesnt affect anything if not, as pv appears right on top of you when the attack starts by the time they goes down you already are out of their hitbox and now you can see where the spikes come out of the floor and already have the advantage of timing and smaller hitboxes, so you use a double jump to position yourself better if needed, and you can always shadow dash or dive if you make a mistake||
