A ||steel soul|| run is one of the hardest things in hollow knight, it makes sense that you'd lose a run once or twice, the goal is to keep trying untill you succeed.

Keep trying, it's not an easy thing to accomplish.

I'd recommend doing the speedrun achievements first, or some of the dlc content, if you havent already
