Then during his shield spiral, do as much damage as you can. Second phase will then activate. Dodge until next shield spiral. Spam shade soul. Repeat until he dies||

||nail arts are really good here, my tactic is as follows:
use dash slash to catch grimm during his bats attack, then whack him a few times.
for his uppercut attack, shade dash through him then get him from behind with a great slash
you can jump over grimm's dash attack and potentially get a great slash in aswell||
