||abyss shriek does really high damage really fast, its equivelant to like 4 pure nail hits (with shaman stone and strength equipped) really quickly, good for quick damage when you can sneak it in
shade soul is useful cos it does a bit more than 1 pure nail hit with shaman and strength but its ranged and you can hit many bosses twice with the same shade soul, doing nearly 3 pure nail strikes worth of damage from a distance and quickly
ddark is considered best by some people because it gives iframes, it's useful for easy damage or to get out of tough situations
nail is just nail. it's good, you press attack and you deal damage||

for example ||any bosses that fly can be quickly killed with abyss shriek, especially if you can't easily hit it consistently with your nail, and it's good damage fast, like when you have a short period of time to do damage and you want to do a lot of it
for shade soul/vs it's good against bosses that take a lot of knockback or run in a horizontal line really fast, and for some reason the double hits are more consistent from further away
for ddark, its just useful for the iframes, like if you know youre about to get hit and theres no easy way out, ddarking for iframes can usually get you out of there fine||

for now, just ||use shriek/howling wraiths when you can instead of nail, and shade soul when you want to keep your distance, and ddark because iframes||

Spells are always good. When they start crawling on the ceiling, just barely inch forward so the entire floor isn’t covered in acid||
