|| I mean I took normal route of going through normally except grabbing dashmaster in fungal then shade skipping to blue lake, killing gorgeous husk and watchers then going to sly and grabbing lantern, getting cdash, then killing uumu and taking the route to the left side of uumu into deepnest as opposed to queens gardens, killing hera, then killing THK with shaman stone. I only had one death which was in the first phase of THK, and I was benched directly outside. I just can’t seem to beat that time.||

whats important is starting somewhere, and being consistent at everything will help in the first place. the remaining 6 mins you would have to cut down are likely routing for which i recommend you consult an experienced speedrunner

there are a lot of good players here that are very down to earth people you could casually dm, i dont know any that are particularly speedrunners but they gotta have connections. besides that, try watching at the higher (maybe top 10-20) runs and keeping their routing in your mind, trying to imitate whats good from them, and practice it.

im not a speedrunner, i run combat challenges like ||irab or p5ab or stuff like that|| but for a lot of the stuff i do two hours is absolutely nothing, and for a lot of the harder challengers ||think r5|| it can take up to 30+. im not sure how this compares to speedrunning, but itd sound to me like 2 hours is not nearly enough time to get even decent at a complex speedrun strat, and the people who do it have likely spent much more time on it.

everything in this game comes down to practice i think, and two hours is really not gonna be enough to learn whatever tech youre gonna wanna learn given 59 mins is already decently fast (its a really good time for a casual speedrunner), the only fix to your problem is just practicing and learning the tech and routing no matter how long it takes or how slow the progress feels, no big hk achievement is done in a day, much less in 2 hours, and its a matter of dedication by that point.

I think soul tyrant is the only boss I killed that didn’t directly relate to a speedrun, but I was testing a route where you use the essence to get pale ore and by extension fourth nail upgrade.||
