hmm ... normally i went with ||general damage + tech ones designed to specific bosses||. probably the most notable thing is you can ||overcharm soul eater (or elegy if you feel like it for a specific boss) and make the 4 notch charm cost only 1 notch at the cost of taking double damage (meaningless for radiant)||

the way that staggers generally work is that ||every n hits you do to it they will stagger, and if you do a smaller n hits in a shorter timeframe then they will also stagger||

for them specifically, they will stagger after either ||every 11 hits, or every 6 hits if you don't take more than 2 seconds between hits. potential off by one in my statement, could be 12 and 7||

for reference, they have ||225 HP, your nail does 5 damage, and vengeful spirit does 15 (=3 nail hits for now). that means they will take 45 hits, so anywhere from 3-8 staggers depending on how aggressive you play||

the way ||false knight|| worked was:
||- deplete armor hp to cause a stagger

• upon stagger, they will fall over. hitting either their head (dealing damage) or armor (dealing no damage) will reset the stagger timer and prevent them from getting up.
• if enough time elapses or the head takes enough damage they will get up. if and only if the head took enough damage will it progress to the next phase, otherwise it just resets to the beginning of the phase you just did||

most others work like:
||- land enough hits to cause a stagger

• land hits quicker to cause a faster stagger
• after waiting long enough, the stagger will end and the fight will resume
• hitting them when they are staggered ends the stagger immediately, use the time to heal if needed||

so for || p1 || as an example, you'd use them for the entire || false knight || fight almost, but you wouldnt use them for ||gruz mother ||
