So many little things that tilt me... dying in a ||shade cloak dash|| because the iframes start late, successful parries that still hurt you, ||monarch wings|| not working for a few frames after the animation while you still fall, my hitbox clipping into a wall so spikes that have retracted still hurt me, attacks going the direction I don't intend during jumps because face direction and move direction and attack direction are all the same keys (like pogoing on spikes), enemies/attacks with bigger hurtboxes than their model/animation...

does everyone just get used to and work around all these things? I played through this game in 2019 or whatever and don't remember being this annoyed

Go above the arena and break the chandelier to preemptively kill one knight. Try diving generously in the fight to avoid dmg and deal dmg. Preferably have upgraded spells.||

ideally you use ||nailarts and run a spell build. So grimmchild, nailmaster's glory, shaman stone, catcher, quick focus for example. If you really don't want to use nailarts use strength instead of qslash and either grubsong/steady body instead of glory or qslash instead of both glory and catcher||

In the ||dream no more ending, does the knight actually die or change form into the shade/voidlord or whatever||

||if you want to purely use your nail then do unbreakable strength and nailmasters glory, nail arts are good against NKG

Otherwise you can't really go wrong with a spell build, shaman stone+spell twister+soul catcher+grubsong will give you lots of soul for healing and using abyss shriek during the pillars of fire attack||

||This is the easiest fully consistent strat. It needs time to get used to but once you get the hang of it it's quite simple. Using the wings you are always able to dodge a beam if it's right on top of you||

maybe you need more upgrades, but yeah ||by this point you should start phasing the focus from being agressive and healing to instead dodging and making up for it with spells, i suggest you fully stop attacking her, and start dodging all you can, when your entire focus is on avoiding it will become easier for you to do so when you go back into trying to attack her on another attempt||
