hmm so it sounds like you're almost there, so here's the exact requirements for opening the door:
||- Have 14+ Lifeblood Masks

• The first one from Joni's Blessing doesn't count, but the rest do, so you'll need 15 if you're using that||

as for how best to get it ...
||- Using Lifeblood Heart helps (+2)

• Fragile/Unbreakable Heart give normal masks -> increase the amount that Joni's Blessing will grant
  So ... combos that work for the full thing are:
• 9 Masks (or 7 + Heart) + Joni's (=12+1) + Lifeblood Heart (=14+1)
• 9 Masks + Heart (11) + Joni's (=15+1)
• If you can't do that (such as by doing a 5 Mask only challenge) that you'll need to wander around the map collecting lifeblood to make up the difference||

original message seems deleted, but for ||failed champ|| the most valuable tip is a variant of one already stated: ||when staggered, hitting the armor will cause the stagger timer to reset (extending the duration), but not do damage -> progress towards them getting up. this can be used to make the stagger last as long as needed, weaving in dream nails/heals between the nail hits to reset the stagger, allowing you to heal to fill each time.||
-# you can also land ||shade soul triple hits during the tantrum attack right after a stagger when timed right as for some reason the mace has a damageable hitbox so you can hit mace close, then the body, and then mace far. this can stagger them again before the end of tantrum so here make sure to after the 3rd? one let it finish tantrum and fall through the floor to actually finish the fight||

beyond that just kinda ||spam dash, usually under them|| i guess

yeh but also when || failed champion gets staggered for the 3rd time you can just take it easy and dream nail him and heal, not need to reset timer or anything.. so for me when i had like 3 mask or less and needed soul and heal, when i stagger him a 3rd time, i take all the time i need to heal and replenish soul.. he doesn't get up.. did this in all my p5 runs, never got back up, so that saved me quite a bit since after him it was goddamn zote lol ||

not really. ||it only deals damage if u r really close to a boss and even then it deals next to no damage. the only real utility ull get out of it is with lost kin, and even then its better to just learn how to fight lost kin without dcrest and learn how to deal with the balloons normally since with enough practice they just become a free source of soul.||

Hmm not too sure actually, ||it could be entirely possible that there is a specific check for if the knight is near the edges of the arena in order to prevent one of the sisters from spawning right on top of the knight without warning.||

||but at the same time there is another “glitch” that one of the sisters can just spawn on top of u for their dash attack and hit u without warning||

||So it would pretty funny if there was a check to prevent that for the boomerang attack but not the dash attack, especially since in normal play u shouldn’t even be near the edges of the arena anyways||

are you using ||vengeful spirit? spells are very good, it'd be good to get used to using them early||

||since it takes 3 hits to get one and it does 3 hits of damage, it literally doubles your dps (plus it can also double hit, though it's hard to do this against hornet)||

Honestly if you want any tips, I'd say ||hollow Knight is more about dodging enemies than getting in attacks, try to maximise spell usage, and look for places where you can heal if you need|| (hint: ||not all of her attacks cover the whole field||

||jump and pogo the lunge and triple slash

shade dash through the daggers - save shade dash for this if possible

you have to expect a dive because it comes quickly, and note that the floor spikes spawn relative to where pv is, they aren't in fixed places like nkg

if you accidentally hit it during the counter, you HAVE to dash through, there's no other way

for the focus attack, dash away and you can either heal or spam shade souls, then dive at the end of the attack so you don't get hit by a followup

for void tendrils, either double jump or jump and dash towards it, then pogo or ddark||
