don't chase her down during the platforms phase, let her teleport to you

down spell breaks the ground spikes and gives you very useful invincibility frames

she always spawns on the bottom platform in the platforms phase, so stand there and obliterate her||

||if you want to get the normal Grimm fight you need to go to howling cliffs and find a dead body, dream nail that body, light the campfire by hitting it and then you should have summoned the Grimm group at dirt mouth, then go inside the tent nearest to elderbug and speak to Grimm who will u give the Grimm child charm, you need to collect fires around the map eith the charm equipped, once you’ve collected enough Ur gonna fight Grimm in his tent to transform grimmchild||

Save Files

What do save files looks like?

• Each Hollow Knight save file is a user#.dat where # is the save slot for the file
• You can rename user3.dat to user1.dat to set it to your first save slot
• You can keep a copy of all of your save files by copy and pasting them into a different folder on your computer

Reverting Backups

• Automatic backups are called user#.dat.bak#, where the first # is the save slot, and the second # is the backup number. You will usually have your last three backups
• You restore a backup by deleting the main file, and then removing the .bak# part of the backup version

Modded Saves

• A modded save may also have a user#.modded.json (and similarly named backup). This file and the user#.dat are part of the save

Where are the files?

||how do I avoid hive knight's stupid spikes attack. It's been driving me crazy beating this guy in p3 and being left with only 4 masks remaining||

||the spike balls trigger from bottom to top (in terms of their vertical positioning). so a good way to dodge them consistently is position yourself to dodge the bottom most spike ball, then ddark to have enough iframes to dodge the other spike balls. ideally u want to position urself close to hive knight to dodge the bottom most spike ball so that u can keep smacking hive knight while u r waiting for the bottom most spike ball to go off. that way u will always have the soul necessary for ddark||

|| those are pantheons basically both rush the first 4 pantheons count towards 112% the fifth is just to challenge yourself and those bindings make the pantheons more difficult by adding restrictions but if you do enough bindings you unlock lifeblood to help you in pantheons||

anyways here's the build and strategy I recommend

||quickslash, shaman, spell twister, steady body, dream wielder, nailmaster's glory||

||great/dash slash one shots all the flying enemies, shade soul one shots all the flying enemies except for the mantises||

||keep one enemy alive at the end of each wave and use dream nail to get a ton of soul to heal and for spells on the next wave||

So using ||nail arts and spells is a must, so you put on shaman stone and nail master glory, as for the remaining notches it depends, grubsong is amazing in colo, dreamwielder while it may seem niche can let you get back up to full soul by farming the last enemy of any given wave, mark of pride can be good, as is every other soul gathering charm (spell twister, soul catcher…) ||

|| i just figured out sharp shadow also increases the distance of shadow dash... i think this is a lot better than spell twister, but i might be wrong... this is my current build and i was curious if this current build is better than my old build. my old build was the same thing but spell twister instead of sharp shadow. what do yall think? ||

||sharp shadow isn't a great charm, the damage it does it totally negligible (0.67 nail hits with strength) and the extra shade dash length barely helps- it's honestly a nerf at times||
