If you go to ||godhome, you might be able to train against her before reaching her in the trial||

||the most consistent way is to jump in rhythm with the beams so that u properly react to each beam. The strategy goes like this: u want to jump up as the telegraph for a beam appears. Then as u r in the air, u can react accordingly to where the telegraph is. If it is right on top of u, u can try to double jump or fall out of the way but it is usually safer to just dash out of the way. If the beam is in the way of the next platform, u can either try to shade dash through it or drop back down to wait for the next beam. If the telegraph is not in the way then u can safely double jump to the next platform. Also an important thing to note is that the lasers become increasingly accurate the higher u r in the climb. So near the bottom, the beams are mostly random, but near the top, they will all be shooting very near u. This allows for a strategy for the later half of the climb to essentially bait the beams outwards in order for u to have a safe passage to the next platform. Basically what u do is double jump away from the platforms to bait a beam outwards, then shade dash through that beam towards the next platform. Note that this method is not effective near the bottom of the climb since the beams are too random to be baited as described||

Horney sentinel i learnt late to just upper attack spikes only on one side of areana and stay there

okay! ||mantis lords have two easy attacks to punish, the downwards plunge and the sideways dash. the first one, you just have to move to the side and hit her twice where she lands. the second one, you can jump and downslash, then hit her before she disappears after the dash||

Ohhh sorry I didn't understand what you meant. ||To unlock White Defender you need to kill all three Dreamers, find Dung Defender's cove nearby his arena, and dream nail him while he is sleeping||

||u want to focus on getting abilities and beneficial upgrades early on before doing the more "optional" stuff. so u want to be getting movement abilities, mask shards, essential charms, etc. as early on as u can. and overall u want to play it slowly, since u arent going for any time based achievements u can take all the time u want. early to mid game is where ppl most often die in steel soul due to low gear, so u want to focus on getting upgraded first||

||and also something to note about steel soul is that confessor jiji is now steel soul jinn. this means that instead of using rancid eggs to retrieve ur shade (which doesnt exist in steel soul for obvious reasons), u can sell rancid eggs for geo||

||so essentially rancid eggs become a second form of relics||

don’t sideslash after she hits the ground

hitting the ground is what gives her the capacity to ignore knockback

what i would’ve done here is upslash instead of sideslash on the hit before you took damage to get her above you

yep fair, sometimes she comes at such a low angle from the start, so in that instance should I just shadecloak through?

If the ground is what gives her the capacity to ignore knockback, then in if I notice that she is gonna hit the ground, I just should avoid swinging nail entirely because a side slash vs an upslash would make no difference.

So up slash generally to keep her away from hitting the ground, if she is gonna hit the ground for whatever reason, avoid attack

i recommend upslashing bc the nail has a hitbox to the side and the direction of the hit would push her up where you can resume upslashing, but yeah dodging works fine too

Farm the ||last enemy of waves for soul with dream nail and try to heal to the max that way. Mistakes and Shielded Fools are the easiest to farm soul from.||

||During the wave where there are Shielded fools followed by mantises, don't kill the Shielded fool and target mantises. Feel free to use souls on spells as much as you need to. After killing the mantises, only the Shielded Fool will be left and you can heal back to full health and soul by farming off it.||
