i did the ||dash thing so i never get hit by the bats, but the attacks are also very similar, where i get stuck is like when hi tps up and then dashes down he leaves a trail, i jump up and downslash hoping for some extra dmg, but i alwasy get hit by the trail, sometimes my mel saves me somtimes not||

Yeah, whenever he makes one move you do your same move, it's never a thing where "Okay I need to try something new on the spot" you just have to find your correct attacks to counter him and stick with that the entire fight

I wouldn't risk it honestly, you can decide to just ||double jump as soon as you can tell hes about to come and for safety measures dash away after you double jump. That way it's guaranteed that you can dodge his attack and have time to get on the ground before he comes at you again||

||how melody works is that you start with a meter, 0% i believe, and each time you get hit the meter goes up by 10%, this are the probabilities for the charm to actually work, so in order for you to have good chances in recieving its effect you must have gotten hit at least 5 times, which on double damage bosses youre already dead, but not only that, everytime it does work the meter gets fully reset, making it incredibly unlikely for it to work twice before you need to heal up, let alone be reliable an entire fight, the reason why you might think its good other than what it promises is that you note when it DOES save a hit more than all those times where it doesnt||

|| it has a 20% chance of blocking hits, a maximum of 90% can be made from carefree melody so you'd have to at least take 8 mask damage until u can get a near guarantee block, and you'll have to take 4-6 mask damage until you get a 50%ish chance for blocking it. It's not a good trade deal, especially when considering spells are very important for late game p5, in nkg you can use abyss shriek to get him down way faster, in pv i personally use ddark for some i frames if my dash is low and it does some damage, same for vengeful spirit when hes healing. ||

what always worked for me, back in the ancient times of 2021 (oof), was looking up a video, no commentary, of the boss being beaten. Often, this provided my brain with a rough general guideline for the fight
