||gpz has 1400 hp, and 32 damage per nail swing means 1400/32 = 43.75 which is about 44 nail hits. also each stagger is 19 hits (assuming no combo stagger, which in gpz, is quite hard to achieve consistently). so at 2 staggers u r looking at 38 hits, so actually u were quite close to defeating him||

||the main thing is to take it slow, try to get upgrades as soon as its safe to do so. the early to middle game is often the point where ull take the most deaths since u have the least upgrades at that point, making u more susceptible to deaths despite the fact that the enemies are also overall weaker in the early to middle game areas. and also from my experience many steel soul deaths dont come from boss fights, but rather carelessness in traversal, u shouldnt lose focus just becuz u r traversing through familiar areas, the combination of environmental hazards and regular enemies can still be deadly if u r careless enough and take a couple of hits to contact damage||

u can always consult a map online i suppose. ||if u r trying to do the achievements with time limit alongside steel soul achievements, one important thing to keep in mind is that if u pause the game, ur file time will not increment. so u r safe to pause and search up whatever u want if u feel lost||
