Well first off, they are completely optional, if you want to, you can leave them for later
As for the ||fight itself it is a lot of hit and run, you really cannot stay close to them for long
You get in, get one hit, maybe two, then walk away
If they jump you can heal after they land back in the center
When they do a large spit you can jump over them to safety, maybe pogoing on the way (and if you are fast enough you can heal for one too)||

||i find that the harder the challenge is (as long as the challenge isnt like hitless or smth where the lifeblood is completely useless), the more useful lifeblood is. like for regular p5 lifeblood is not entirely that useful since theres so many healing opportunities anyways, but for smth like p5 shell binding or perhaps p5 soul binding it starts to become more useful since u have less max hp (shell binding) / less healing opportunities (soul binding) and lifeblood is good for the cushion it provides in case things goes badly right off the bat. and then u get into things like p5ab where lifeblood is really useful||

||well generally dodge pretty much any attack by jumping (and poging if you want). The only exceptions to this are the dagger attack where he throws the soul daggers at you and when he parries you. For those you should use your shade cloak so also make sure not to waste it on other attacks.
Also make sure you jump on the soul pillar attack where the spikes form at the ground. The hitboxes are smaller in the air so jumping makes it much easier to dodge.
On a last note don't jump, dash or walk around too much without a reason. Stay near pure vessel to attack and other than that just wait for and react to his attacks. Don't just jump and dash around aimlessly.||
