that's the easiest attack to deal damage on normally. ||you can hit him with the nail, you can use a nailart, u can use spell, or heal. It's really not necessary||

||by practicing. Charms matter much less than you'd think. Use whatever you personally like best.
Of course they can help so ideally you'd use something that helps with soul, with nailarts (if you use them) or with your normal nail if you don't, with spells and healing if you want as well||

Well sounds like all u gotta do is beat some bosses to progress I mean progress is locked behind bosses so

hollow knight tip: theres only 3 required boss in the entire game, and theyre all at the very end. through careful navigation of the map you can circumvent every other bossfight and come back when youre more prepared with upgrades

so if ever again you feel like you hit a wall, theres ALWAYS another way to go. ALWAYS.

So using ||nail arts and spells is a must, so you put on shaman stone and nail master glory, as for the remaining notches it depends, grubsong is amazing in colo, dreamwielder while it may seem niche can let you get back up to full soul by farming the last enemy of any given wave, mark of pride can be good, as is every other soul gathering charm (spell twister, soul catcher…) ||

I think you can see that being guided through the whole game room by room isn’t gonna be a viable solution long term
With the ||compass and quill, you should be able to follow along the map||

Though the next hurdle to overcome is finding ||cornifer in each area to buy the map||
But he usually isn’t hidden, at least for the first few areas
