For bosses like ||NKG|| you have to almost play the game like it's a platformer and be precise with your movements but with other bosses there is more room for error so you usually just hit them as much as you can without worry lol

||okay so shaman stone and spell twister are good options but there are a couple of alternatives u can consider for replacing soul eater since the benefit of soul eater is not usually worth it for the 4 notches it takes up. there are a few alternatives that u can choose to replace soul eater that u can try out. u can do quick slash + steady body (or grubsong), u can also do smth like soul catcher + long nail. there are a couple other combinations as well, u can mess around with what u can do with those 4 notches||

I was fighting her on ascended and beat the first phase and the platform phase with no damage taken, then I lost almost all my hp during the climb and died at the top to an orb. ||u need to time ur jumps in rhythm with the lasers. Generally u want to jump up right as the telegraph for the laser appears, then based on the telegraph u can react accordingly. If the laser is aiming at u, u can either double jump out of the way of the laser, fall away from the laser if u don’t think u can make it up the next platform, or dash out of the way if absolutely needed. If the laser is not aimed at u and is not in the way, u can safely double jump to the next platform. If it is in the way just fall back down and wait for the next laser. Repeat this rhythm for every single laser and eventually ull make it to the top unscathed||

||the lasers also become more accurate near the top of the climb so u can try to bait the lasers outwards by jumping out away from the platforms and then shade dashing back towards the platforms. It’s only effective near the top tho since near the bottom the range at which the lasers can fire is too wide to bait them in any meaningful way||

Hey, does anyone have any tips for beating ||Lost Kin? I was told to tackle it early, but it's definitely very tough||

||it generally only has 2 attacks that dash towards u - one where it jumps and one without jumping. jump over him then get in attacks when he dashes straight at u and dash under him and attack him when he jumps above u. for his other attacks that summon balloons, u might want to focus on destroying them so u can focus more on the boss, but if ur struggling to kill the balloons bring defenders crest if unlocked||

generally u can probably just facetank ||lost kin|| and heal between the staggers - ||once cuz of the balloons or twice if u have defenders crest or get a good timing between balloon spawns||

||dash attack: either jump over him or go under him. Try to turn around and hit him with the horizontal spell as that gives a double/triplehit. The little bit of downtime after the attack is also a good window to hit
Downwards slam: go a bit to his side to dodge, then you can get a couple of hits in
Hit the balloons when they come close.
Heal when he staggers, if there's a balloon near clear it first||

||master the basic gameplay loop of read the attack, dodge the attack, and hit once or twice. I found staying on the other side of the arena from where the boss it helpful for dodging the attacks, it gives you more time to react so you don't get tricked by his bait jumps||

||I know, it just makes healing safer with bubbles around + it extends the range of the Defender's Crest||

This boss input reads your jumps
When you jump, it jumps too to intercept you. This goes for its ||dashes|| too, it'll jump and dash after you if you try to jump away

Use his input reads as an advantage

Bait him into jump dashing and punish with some nail hits

And try not to use jumping as a way to dodge too much, unless he's already in the middle of an attack or something so you're sure he won't jump into you

Yes and hitting him once or twice at the end of his ||dash|| before he recovers and is able to do another move

Also make sure to prioritizing hitting those infected balloons when they appear. You don't want too many of them around, kill them when they spawn
