||u want to lure them into the ground so that they despawn as soon as possible. generally u dont want to be above the orbs since that will lure them upwards instead of towards the ground, which means they will stay on screen longer thus posing a larger threat. it takes a bit of practice to react in the correct way in relation to where the orb spawns but the end goal is to make theme crash into the ground / surrounding platforms.

for the phases before sword rain, its pretty easy to jump up and get hits on abs rad while the orb attack is happening since the orbs will curve around u and crash into the floor as u land, so its an easy opportunity to get in damage if u get comfortable luring the orbs. theres a spawn position worth mentioning which can be annoying to deal with if u dont know what to do, which is when the orbs spawn really low near ur vertical position, which makes it hard to lure the orbs into the floor. but all u need to do for those ones is to do a minihop to lure them above u as u land from the jump, then they will naturally crash towards the ground as they try to loop back towards u. as always, ddark is a great option if u r caught in a bad position and need the iframes to get out of the situation.

for platform phase, u want to lure the orbs into the surrounding platforms, the bottom middle platform is the easiest platform to do this as there are a bunch of surrounding platforms that u can lure the orbs to. generally speaking, u should lure the orbs that spawn to the side of u towards the left or right platforms, and lure the orbs that spawn above u towards the bottom platform. if u find urself near the top of the arena when the orb attack happens then u should try to get down to the bottom middle platform as soon as possible since the orbs will have the highest chance of crashing into platforms and despawning when lured downwards. ddark is a good dodging option here as well if u get caught in a bad position.||

This is a pretty good and detailed guide though just in my opinion: Many of the strats you mentioned are too difficult or even harmful for a beginner. It's great as a general overview for someone wanting to start speedrunning but even for ||radiant|| runs some of the things you mentioned are just too difficult or risky.

||As examples: The pogo strat in final is only really used on modded bosses and is one of the riskiest ways to deal with the phase.
The shriek stalling in the sword burst is completely insane for a beginner.
And jumping off the platform to avoid damage is also something I think would rarely lead to good results if you don't know what you're doing.||

Again though this guide is very detailed and functions well as an overview. Just for a person struggling with the base boss it's not great I believe. Still this is just my opinion and some feedback. Keep it how you like it best

If you have everything then it's usually quick slash since it increases damage and soul income.

Secondly it depends largely on what you are doing. For bosses strength and quickslash are great options. However, that is not the case for the colo. Strength is still good but usually you wanna focus on other things there. It's not horrible of course||

||bro u have like no charms, what have u even been doing, i would suggest going to a merchant in crossroads called salubra to get some more charms and charm notches, particularly a charm called shaman stone. then u can go back to markoth with full soul and shaman stone equipped, spam shrieks, and markoth will be dead in no time||
