This isnt really a question about the game, but my hollow knight is randomly taking 50-90% of my gpu currently, i am 25 hours into my playthrough and have never before experienced any issues at all

anyone have a clue why its randomly spiking today?

Maybe it's something with your computer, I'm no expert by any means, but sometimes my GPU/CPU go crazy for no reason, and a restart with some rests does the job

If that doesn't work I have no qualifications to help lol

||its hard to believe, but u can theoretically get a heal off on every single attack. there was a clip shared in this server of someone showing the heals for each attack but i cant find it at the moment. but obviously some attacks are safer to heal on than others. i would suggest healing right after the flame pillar attack, the spikes attack (where the spikes come out of the ground for a split second), and obviously during its staggers||

||it is called a scream skip and it is fairly well known. the more common way is to dash into the boss to take damage to the boss in order to perform the scream skip instead of relying on another damage source like a dung ball||

||for radiant white defender, the main struggle points ive seen are usually the dung balls and the spike slam attack. the dung balls that white defender throws can be hard to keep track of so its usually worth it to use a spell like shriek to destroy those dung balls as they are being thrown out in order to destroy them early. and for the spike slam attack (where white defender slams down and spawns spikes around him), it comes out very fast but its possible to react to, just dash out of the way the instant u start seeing the windup animation for the slam. or u can also be playing a lot more cautious throughout the whole fight and keeping ur distance whenever white defender isnt in the middle of an attack, then react accordingly once white defender is locked into an attack. this way u r far enough so that whenever white defender does his spike slam attack, u wont be caught off guard by it.||

So i have dual boot on my laptop, so i played on windows first, got some progress, then i decided to play ramdomizer with friend, so copied my save via file explorer to ".../Hollow Knight - Copy" and installed scarab, and played with it for some time.
Now, I don't want to install/deinstall scarab, so could i use just anither windows user, or is it better to boot from linux and play from there for not modded.
