That's mostly a rhythm thing. If you can get a feel for the ||needle rhythm|| then you can get away with ||great slash||, but it is riskier than ||dash slash||, which is sufficient on its own to win. Moving around the ||platforms|| a lot helps to dodge ||needles|| without thinking about them. And save your ||soul|| to use it on him in ||phase 2||

Since you're new I'd advise trying to explore and not really come to this server unless you desperately, need it. As there are many opportunities for you to get spoiled for anything in the game you have yet to see. 👍

You can attack up to 3 times to increase 1 more slash each with an interval of .4 seconds, for a total maximum of 6 slashes in 1.55s. Doing so will also change the fall dynamic, instead making so your acceleration cap is now way sooner, making you fall significantly slower while attacking.||

also, ||spell twister vs soul catcher|| since i know that'll come up eventually: ||twister generally outperforms catcher, provided you're actually using spells rather than just healing (since focus gets nothing from twister). if you use ~4+ spells for every heal, then twister will save more soul than catcher will grant. additionally, catcher has a habit of wasting its effect when you hit max soul, but twister allows you to fire off 4 consecutive shots if you hit max soul, so if you aren't constantly using your soul enough then twister will also outperform catcher. basically catcher is only better in the middle area where you're healing frequently, and also not topped up on soul very often as a result.||

• elegy, however, i mainly just use for specific hitless runs because the damage isn't that great and i think that it may cause i-frame issues competing to land hits with your base nail when up close
• defender's crest and spore shroom don't do much damage at all and can be traded out. main use of defender's crest is to prevent 1hp balloons from interrupting a heal in a certain fight
• sprintmaster is very personal preference

• if you're struggling hard, there's a few useful upgrades you can get around the map that you haven't yet. one to start with would be going ||back up to city|| for a ||nail upgrade (5 -> 9 damage, so nearly double)||
• best charms in your arsenal are ||shaman, twister, mark of pride, and quick focus (imo, others will contest this one), and steady body if you play it right (allows you to keep up offensive pressure)||
• this fight has a niche for ||spore shroom|| where it can help ||clear balloons after a heal, allowing multiple consecutive heals easier||
