idk how far into the game u r, but there are a few spots that are quite good for geo grinding, im not entirely sure which one is the best tho: ||first way is to repeatedly beat colo 2, it gives a ton of geo every time u beat it. second way is to bench at kings station and kill everything in the big room to the left of kings station, circling back to kings station bench to reset the enemies and repeat. third method is to go to the bottom of kingdoms edge and kill the small hoppers. iirc those small hoppers even respawn upon re-entering the screen so u dont have to bench to reset them.|| there are definitely more ways to grind geo but the methods i listed above are quite effective in grinding geo

Quick Focus is always good but you might want to drop it for something spell-related if you’re not focusing much and are good at seeing the windows, and Quick Slash is always fine but don’t be afraid to drop it if you want||

||u generally want to be less aggressive against hornet 2. wait for her to attack first, then when her attack ends and shes vulnerable, u can go in for a couple hits and a spell or two before backing off and waiting for her next attack. if u do this, all u need to do is to react to what attack shes doing and then dodge it accordingly||

||i assume u r on the lower part of HoG, if thats the case then the void idol journal entry is past that door, u need to beat every boss attuned or higher to get it. (the journal entry updates if u do all ascended or all radiant||

i did have some hardware issues when i remapped my controls once, more specifically [Space] (jump) + [Up+Left]/[Down+Right] would drop the third input and reject any future ones until one was released, so ||pogos while moving right were ... garbage ... contributed to issues in the last bit of a certain challenge where you end with a lot of pogos while moving right, but i hadn't noticed it yet so i thought it was misinputs||

while technically correct, the timing is incredibly precise and is only done in challenge runs

one of the major aspects of metroidvanias is exploration, backtracking is a common idea for metroidvanias after unlocking new abilities. if u constantly search up / ask online on where to go next, then that removes the whole exploration aspect of metroidvanias and the game really isnt the same without that sense of searching and exploring the world.
i really would suggest just exploring everything on ur own without any online guides whatsoever, only when u become completely stuck should u ask around on what to do. it makes the game more enjoyable that way
