Hi, I hope I'm in the right channel for this. I just installed HK on my Linux pc and I'm using a switch pro controller plugged in with a usb cord. When I launch the game, it starts scrolling through the menu and selecting things seemingly at random until I unplug the controller. If I unplug it and plug it back in while the game is open, it doesn't register any inputs, even though the controller options menu shows a picture of a pro controller. I've been playing Celeste with this controller with no issues, so I don't think it's an issue with the controller or Steam. Any clue what I can try?

It does more work then people think

i will point out, ||spell/heal build has a slight bit of antisynergy as both need of soul, so if you get hit a bunch and need to heal up, then your damage stagnates quite a bit slotting in a charm to make healing off chip damage more convenient while not relying on healing a ton is viable though, but requires practice to the point you might be able to get away with using just the itemless heal spots for that. i say this as someone who will usually run a nail/heal build when i'm not trying to no-hit or something.|| more specifically, i go with (assuming all item knowledge) ||strength/quick slash + quick focus/shape of unn. earlier i would use either mark of pride or longnail+nmg over strength until i eventually decided i didn't need them anymore.||

first ||focus on dodging, this dude's attacks are double damage and if you get hit once it might trigger a chemical reaction that will kill you 5 seconds later, second when he attacks dodge the attack, get close if you can, and hit him 3 times thanks to the quick slash, keep repeating until he staggers, when he does, hit him once, dream nail, hit him again, heal, repeat until you are at full soul. after he gets up from his nap, hit him with shade soul while he wilding out his mace left and right, ideally try to get some double hits, repeat the process, if you're confident, try to use some ddarks but they are kinda risky so i wouldn't recommend||
