I use ||nail arts|| but since i only get a hit at a very safe time it takes a bit for me to use them so i just charge up normally ||but i get it, since it releases faster aswell||

the faster charge up allows you to go in for more hits faster and since you only want to hit him when you know you are safe you'll only get in 1-2 hits, ||nail arts help a ton since they deal 2.5x more damage than normal a normal nail hit, dealing half a nail hit more damage||

now this heavily depends on various things such as position and game knowledge
||at any point if you want to hit Markoth with a spell go for shade soul and only use it when he is not next to a platform/wall (above and below are fine) and he is floating away from you.

Abyss Shriek use only if and when he is near the ceiling and you are on a lower platform, jump and use it from under the higher platform on him and make sure you are facing towards the right||

The charm just isn’t worth- pretty much everything that can be dodged with sharpshadow also works with shade cloak normally||

||if you have soul and dont need to heal, you should shriek during his stagger (the split into bats one)||
i cant see your charms so i cant recommend much regarding that
