Have this

First off, play it safe, ||nail arts|| are amazing at hitting him without putting yourself in danger, but that does mean that you can be attacking him constantly, as sometime, he will just be in a bad position for you to be able to hit him, second off, ||shriek should not be used, use shade soul instead, unless you see the perfect shriek opportunity you are likely to not hit the whole spell, maybe take damage in the process, so going for double hit shade souls is definitely more worth it, using that you can make the second phase really short
Thirdly health, in pantheons he only has 680 health, that is actually really small, phase two only has 340, that is 4 double hit shade souls, so the tldr is, as long as you have ressources (either health or soul) the fight will be quick, as you can either trade health for damage and damage tank, or trade soul for 80 free damage, that said if either one of your ressources gets low then it is a big problem
So the absolute 100% consistent strat to beat markoth is to get very good at soul tyrant, and using the 4 lifeblood you get at the bench right before, that way you can somewhat easily get into markoth with full soul and maybe more than your max health
And then you use something like heart to get even more ressource and you simply beat the boss with sheer numbers ||

||use your dive for attacks that are difficult to dodge. I like to use it when he summons the volatile zotes that explode in case he does another annoying attack right after. It's also very useful if he falls through the ground and then dives from above to consistently dodge that. Also try to remove the summons as quickly as possible. Other than that it's really mainly just practicing and you'll get used to the attacks. You might also wanna do a few attempts without attacking at all (except for maybe getting rid of the summons) to try and learn the attacks||

||for Markoth focus on nailarts (preferably with nailmaster's glory) as your main damage for the first phase. Stay on 1 platform and just wait for him to come to you and dodge the swords. Once he gets close try to hit him with as many nailarts as possible (you can hit through his shield) until he either flies away again or comes too close where you should move to a different platform. You can heal or get close and deal damage on the shield spinning attack however don't use spells in the first phase at all.

Once you reach the second phase use all your saved up soul in form of shade souls (preferably with shaman and/or twister) while trying to get as many double hits as possible. He should be pretty low at that point if you did it right so you can do the rest of the fight like the first phase again||

||cyclone slash you shouldn't use for Markoth at all. It's either great or dash slash. I personally prefer dash slash if you are on one of the top platforms and he is at a distance to get in a hit.
Otherwise I like great slash better. Markoth sometimes changes direction weirdly while flying but he should never be too fast. Great slash has a lingering hitbox and a big range so you should usually already release it while he is getting close to you and not when he is already next to you. That way you should still have time afterwards to move so just release it a bit earlier. No matter if you hit or not if he continues getting closer you should move to a different plat.
Also of course it just needs practice. Using nailarts is hard at first and avoiding the swords while charging them can be difficult. If you practice it more in the hog you should get better at that||

While qslash is likely better for most other bosses, shaman will help a lot more against Markoth. Also make sure to practice the boss on ascended in the hall of gods with the same loadout you'll use in the pantheon||

||this is a very good charm build for the pantheon in general, yes. If you like steady body you could also use that instead of grubsong. If you want something focused more on Markoth in case you mainly struggle with that I would use twister + catcher instead of qslash and grubsong but it depends on how good you are at the other bosses in the section||
