||don't chance them around but stay on the few center platforms. Dodge the attacks and mainly attack radiance when they teleport to the center. If they do attacks like the beam or sword wall you have a lot of time to attack. For orbs it depends but you might also be able to squeeze in a bit of damage while/before dodging the attack. For the beam/sword burst (the circular attacks around their face) it's a little more tricky so focus on dodging there and only attack if you have time before or afterwards. Btw you can see whether they'll do a burst attack if their face lights up||

||royal waterways got me messed up, there's at least 2 rooms, the broken elevator shaft and one of the ancient basin entrances, that I feel many people consider to be in one area or another||

||The in-game map (as provided in the pic) says that every sub-area and room shown in the whole royal waterways map included those 2 rooms mentioned previously, and those rooms do not appear in the in-game city of tears map, and the in-game ancient basin map||

||so do we determine what rooms are in what areas based on the in-game map, color coded (like purple = city of tears, gray = ancient basin) or other?||

||if we go with color coded: the entrance into The Abyss room includes both the ancient basin and the abyss, and its color coded in both gray and black, so is this room in both areas at the same time? (assuming that you think the abyss is its own main area, which if you also believe theres 18 areas in the game, the abyss is one of them)||

||let's start off with the beginning of the fight: there's two possible openings to the fight, long and short. long allows you to get a dream nail in for some soul so you should try doing that, but short is also fine. you should just aim to have at least one cast of soul at all times for safety.
let's start off with attacks: when he drops from the ceiling, ddark then get a few nail hits in for safety + dps. if you dont have soul, you need to watch where he's falling from and jump over the shockwave, then get some nail hits in
when he spawns zotelings, they have a small amount of invincibility frames, so you need to be careful about that. otherwise you can take them out with one nail hit or can shriek them to death. taking out zotelings is a priority since they can make survival very tough for you.
when he spawns balloons, do NOT hit them with your nail since they will die and explode in ur face. if there's balloons close to you, ddark to explode them and get some iframes. if there's balloons further away from you, fireball them to clear out the space then watch for gpz's next attack. In this attack, you can get a lot of hits on gpz, but it's often very risky since balloons restrict your movement a lot, and a bad attack means death.||

||as for the rest of the attacks, they are tough to learn but have clear telegraphs and can be learnt.
for the flail attack (where he runs swinging his nail everywhere): you should dash away and jump immediately to avoid this, tho it needs a lot of practice (this is probably the toughest attack in this fight). Then, keep pogoing then ddark on him. to be safe, pogo only 2-3 times then ddark. you'll have to be careful and learn the timings for jumping after the ddark tho, otherwise u will die. there's an alternate version of this where he falls down instead, here
when he jumps over you and slams down, you can ddark for maximum safety, otherwise just wait a second to check whether he is changing direction or not and then dash to his back side and get some nail hits in.
when he jumps three times, you can get a nail hit or two on each of those jumps with a bit of practice, but you need to be alert as to whether he's jumping on you or not. if he is, dash towards the direction he jumped at you from. to be completely safe in this attack, just dash towards the direction gpz is jumping at you from in each jump and hop over the shockwave.
lastly, his stagger happens after 19 hits without a combo (dw about what a combo is). you dont need to count these hits, but this is the best time to heal (you can heal twice safely). otherwise, ddark on him for max damage or just do a nail hit if you want to conserve soul.
i forgot to mention earlier, but you can also heal at the start of the balloons attack, though only do it when gpz is decently far away.

overall, this fight is heavily based on experience and just attempting it a LOT since gpz has a lot of small variations in his attacks that you will only adjust to with experience. you should attempt him a lot in HoG to learn how to counter all his attacks and it can only be done through trial and error. when you learn it, though, it's absolutely an amazing fight! this is quite long cuz gpz is very complex, sry about that :P||

||you’re gonna have to complete the previous pantheons with bindings. In the door to the left of the hall of gods there’s a door with a lotta circles around it, and each win with a binding will add to the door. More bindings will grant more lifeblood masks you get from each heart||
