it is not something that works against all fights

general tips are ||try to keep distance between lost kin and attack it when it comes by u. dont jump unless u need to (so dont make lots of unnecessary jumps), make use of your spells since they can do lots of damage and easily take out the infected balloons||

stay on the right wall and use dash slash whenever u safely can. u can heal during markoths shield spin attack as well.

for the 2nd phase, u wanna try to have some soul saved up so u can shade soul markoth (try to get double hits, do this by hitting markoth while he is a decent distance away and not directly beside a wall). if u dont have enough soul saved to kill him with just shade souls, continue 2nd phase like 1st phase||

||be patient, a great time to attack markoth is during his shield spin attack; wait for it to revolve around 3 times then u can go in and attack him a lot, and then when u come out use spells and stuff. also dash slashes in general are really nice||

fall through the floor: hell track your position until about a second before falling within view, so time your dash to get away from him. you can also just dive
sword run: dash away, jump, pogo, double jump, pogo, double jump. you can replace the last double jump with a dive. the shockwave from when he trips will hit above him, so make sure youre in the clear
sword slam: dash under him, the attack will go to where you were when it started. he may do a second slam shortly after, but never a third
hops/triple jump: dash away if you need to, then jump over the shockwave. you can also dash under him or dive
zoteling spawns:spawnkill them with your nail, use spells to snipe them if needed. kill them asap so theyre not a problem.
exploding zotelings: use dive if needed to dodge his next attack, or use vengeful spirit to clear out a line of zotelings.
how to heal
after his stagger, you can heal 1-2 times. healing twice is rng based on his next attack(either a hop or fall through the floor)
you can also heal during both zoteling summons
how to attack
when hes just jogging, keep a pattern of hitting him and dashing away
for his triple dash, you can hit him after avoiding a jump.
for his sword slam, you can hit him after dashing under him, or pogo him once after the attack ends(if youre not behind him)
for his sword slam, you can pogo him 1-2 times after the attack ends. you can also just sit there and hit him if you dived
for the fall through the floor, if you dived, you can hit him a few times. you can also sneak in 1-2 pogos if you jumped over the shockwave or shade cloaked through it

you can use ||shade cloak if you want. It works fine for the attack though pogoing deals damage which shade cloak doesn't, pogoing doesn't send you to the other side of the arena and you can just stay close and keep attacking instead and for newer players timing the shade cloak can be tricky afterwards if used up on his lunge||

||then you shouldn't use it too much on other attacks. I recommend avoiding all others with a jump which with a bit of practice should be easily doable for you. If they do the triple slash and you're really close then shade cloak is most of the time the safest opinion but if you aren't right next to him jumping and pogoing is also better there imo. In case they parry your attack you should shade cloak through them too. Other than that I recommend jumping. If it happens that you get unlucky and don't have the cloak for the dagger throw attack then you can use descending dark on the spot to dodge it since it gives you invincibility frames. This might be a bit tricky though so try to really keep shade cloak for that one||

||It's not really about double hits and hitbox size methinks. It's about whether the beam and the attack count as two individual attacks that can both hit the same target. I think once one of them has hit they simply just can't hit again just like your nail swing can't hit the same enemy twice even if the slash duration would be long enough||

||there isn't really "the trick" for the fight but generally spells are very strong in the game so you should try to use them as much as possible. Also you pretty much only have charms that support spells so that makes it even better of an option. For reference with the charm shaman stone equipped a single vengeful spirit deals 4x the damage of your nail. It even has the chance to double hit which would make it 8x so very powerful||

||if he runs at you, jump over him and try to get some downstabs in (pogo)

when he shoots his orbs, dash towards the orb, itll hit the floor and destroy itself

when his orbs rotate around him just focus on dodging them, jump over the bottom one

when he goes above you and slams, just dash out of the way and jump up to dodge the shockwave
be careful of the fakeout

in last phase, just dash to avoid his slams and when he starts spamming his orbs get under him and beat him up||
