A few reasons to tag acronyms

1. To have a clear line what short forms are allowed and what are not
2. To not get people look it up themselves
3. To not get people ask here and be told and spoiled by people not knowing the rules
4. Once they find out what the acronym stands for, they will understand the context of the messages and get spoiled

So my take on ||PV is this: try to jump over most attacks and get a feel for that because you want to save your shadow dash for if they decide to counter. Since it's not like hornet's and you can't just normal dash away. However, that can be solved by just being less aggressive||

||Grey Prince Zote is a tricky boss with a lot of mixups and and spawns that can create very hectic, and hard to react to situations. Paying close attention to his tells so you can react properly is a must.||

||Charms:||
||- Mark of Pride (MoP) can help a lot, particularly in giving more time to react to, and more lenient pogos on his sword flail attack, and killing ghosts without getting hit.||
||- Strength with fully upgraded nail allows you to one hit the the Zote ghosts, making them much easier to deal with, especially combined with MoP||
||Nailmaster’s Glory can make nail arts a viable option for killing the Zotelings and Zote ghosts as well.||
||- If you heal a particularly large amount, Carefree Melody can be helpful, as each healed mask is another block chance, though there is some RNG involved, and the more damage Zote does the more likely it is to stray from the average. At 5 heals it’s 3.136 effective more hp on average, and at 9 it’s 4.032 on average. It’s .224 average block chance, meaning hp is multiplied by 1.224 for average effective hp increase, but for easy math in your head, each 9 hp healed is about another 2 effective hp on average.||
||- If you’re a bit trigger happy on dashing, and end up using them too early, Dashmaster can make it easier to dash again and get out of the way.||
||- Having more spells available to invincibility frame through attacks and clear up Zotelings / Zote ghosts can be very useful, so spell builds are also a good option, especially if you don’t plan on taking Mark of Pride.||

||Sword Flail: Be watching for this tell super closely whenever nearby him. It comes out fast. When he does it, jump above him and pogo, but you have to be careful because at any moment he can fall over, spawning shockwaves on both sides, so if you were about to pogo, you may land on him and take contact damage instead. What I do, is hit jump and down attack in that order as fast as possible, that way, if he doesn't fall, you're pogo cancels the jump, and you get your double jump back, but if he does fall and you whiff the down attack, you just double jump away and have time to react. Also make sure to down attack him with at least the maximum reach of the normal nail, not closer, because if he staggers and you're too low he pops up and will hit you with contact damage.||

||Fall over: He can also just fall over right after the tell for sword flail, without even sword flailing, so be ready for that after you jump.||

||Walking: As silly as it is, GPZ will just walk at you sometimes, even pushing you into the wall of the arena. Be ready to shadow dash, or jump over him, but he may jump at the same time so if you do jump over him shadow dash anyway.||

||Jump: When GPZ jumps there are a lot of things he can do.||
||-Jump > Landing: GPZ jumps and lands without hesitation, causing a small shockwave on landing. ||

||-Jump > Sword strike: He jumps up, and at the peak of his jump will air dash towards the knight, then fall with a sword strike in front of him. This strike has a different shockwave than the normal jump. The waves spawn on the sword, rather than his body, and the wave in front is significantly taller.||

||-Jump > Fall through the stage: Instead of landing, GPZ passes through the stage, moving to the ceiling and falling on the player after a moment. The spot he falls targets the player somewhat but also seems to be semi random. He will spawn two large shockwaves on landing.||

||When it comes to the jump, you have to be ready to react to a lot. You can generally dodge a normal jump > land with just your movement, so don't use your dash too early or you may end up not having it after he air dashed towards you. If this happens, you can sometimes walk behind him and still be safe. Try to wait just a split second to see if he is doing a sword strike, and react to it so you can dodge in the proper direction which is behind him usually, but if at a distance you can go in front. It also seems the hitbox is larger closer to the ground so jumping as you move away may help escape the hit.||

||When he falls through the stage the targeting on his landing is very tricky. Sometimes he'll fall in front of you, and sometimes somewhere around you, which is due to it attempting to predict where you will be. You have a few options here. If your invincible dash is available, you can usually just move in a direction and time it right, and even if he falls in the direction you dash you usually get past him with enough time to jump the shockwave. You can also look at the top of the stage, and try to react to where he falls and dodge in the opposite way. He falls slower for a moment at the top of the stage to give you a bit of a longer moment to react, which helps. Having sound up can help as well because from what I can tell his yell as he falls is directional; If he's on the left, you'll hear it in your left ear, and same with the right. The easiest option is to time a down spell, which will use invincibility frames to avoid any kind of reacting.||

You want to target these Zotelings as early as possible because with them jumping / flying around and GPZ doing his own moves things become hectic quickly. Using an up or neutral spell can kill multiple spawns at once, though you need to do it a little late because the minions are invincible while getting launched by GPZ.||

||Ghost spawn: GPZ spawns a bunch of Zote ghosts that blow up after a short time, or after being hit enough by the player. This move is tough because Zote will continue attacking as they take up space on the screen. You can hit the ghosts a few times for soul, and blow them up without taking damage, even with base nail length, though it is precise; How many hits they can take depends on your damage. You can also wait for Zote to do a move, then quickly react with a down spell, or just use a fireball spell to blow up as many ghosts in a line as you can and free up the stage again.||

||Also worth noting, if you’re on the ground, you can do a down spell faster than normal by jumping then immediately hitting down spell. When you down spell on the ground, the knight jumps up a bit, but that jump is higher (and therefore takes longer) than the tiny jump you can get if you hit jump and down spell in extremely quick succession. This helps with reacting to Zote's moves with down spell, as mentioned in the previous paragraph.||

||charge great slash. when it makes that little shriek it means its gonna dive, you jump above and release great slash, hitbox is big enough to hit below u and hit it. maybe not fully optimal but its easy at least. when you get enough soul you can shoot a neutral spell at it too||
