I have never played it on keyboard but it works fine on controller. Some things are difficult for new players to press on controller but that just takes practice and you'll get used to it. I would think keyboard allows for a bit more precise movement tho

there's quite a lot you can do, just exploring is probably your best bet

if you give more information I could try to give hints

Beating ||soul master isn't the only way to progress. Once you get to the city there are a lot of options. You can inspect city a little more to find a lot of new stuff or return to older areas like greenpath, fungal wastes or crossroads to discover new areas. Still soul master would be a really helpful step but if he is too difficult for now you could go to another area first or find more charms and upgrades to make it easier||

Also if your input lag is literally multiple seconds as you said then that's not normal I think. You should check your controller or something because that seems unplayable

for charms ||just use strength and qslash as a baseline and then add whatever you like. Shaman is good for the whole pantheon and quick focus as well. Mark of pride is nice for pure vessel but not really the best for other bosses. For the last two notches pretty much anything works (although I wouldn't recommend sharp shadow). I personally would go with grubsong and steady body but twister or shape of inn or something also works||

The issue with nail build here is you don't really have the essential ||charms|| for it, which means you'll have to hybrid weirdly

||I'd just say practice. Use more of your spell "vengful spirit"/fireball, it does more damage than nail. Try to heal either when they do the silk "explosion" or when they throw the nail. You can also "slash downwards" midair, to hit them and bounce off them (timing!)||

||For when they lunge at you, you should just jump over/away, with practice you'll see how far they go. You can land in a hit backwards when they finish the attack. When they jump up and dive, you can tell the difference by looking at how high they go before stopping. If they stop at the height of their jump, they will dive at you so move/jump out of the way by holding a button and then you can fit in a slash at the end. If they jump and stop a bit lower, they usually will do the silk "explosion" (however height-guessing is not 100% reliable). Use that as a healing window (walk away and heal). If they throw the needle and you're on the opposite side of the arena you can heal (it wont hit you). You can also do a full jump (just hold jump) and get out of the way. If you're really close, you can hit them once before they start, jump over the needle, and then jump over it again as it comes back. Using your spell during any of the attacks is good (as long as they don't jump/dodge it)||
