I'll explain the lore ||quirrel was given the mask of monomon, the dreamer you saved, when they started dreaming, this was for in case anyone bad tried to break the seal, or if something went wrong and they had to break the seal, the latter of which is the situation we are in. This mask granted quirrel a power to either not age or age extremely slowly, however, he is obviously aging even if it wasn't feeling it. As he used the mask to help us get to monomon, he no longer had the power, so mentioned if you talked to him actually that he "started to feel his age", thus he kinda aged a ton and died, at least he found peace||
