Recently I tried a fic out that could have had an interesting noir detective plot with a side of torment, if the writer had actually bothered to remember that everyone is bugs, pay attention to the characterization of any of the female characters, or have any shred of respect for said female characters. The map borders are redrawn accordingly, and so the kingdom is not as grand or prosperous as it used to be, but that is a good thing

Yeahhhh that land used to belong to the mosskin, and some of that land also got taken over by the mantis traitors, and as the borders are being redrawn to put Deepnest on more equal footing it's only fair that Deepnest get some of that lower land because of the useful resources (and the symbolism of the Queen's Station being able to be repurposed), and the land technically belongs to WL and thus hallownest but she isn't actually fit to be queen or acting like one anymore so it's a little bit of a tricky tangle who that land belongs to
