I have an idea for the dark unnamed area, if youll hear it: since theres a lot of plants around the area, id suggest another plantsy area, but different. A labyrinth where the frost tyrant's influence has taken a fast root, flora and fauna have long since ran wild, settlers have either left, or are frozen to icy clumps. Rime covers every surface in this area, and youll need smth to stay warm. The only light comes from glowing frosty crystals that cover walls, floors and ceilings. think a mix between deepnest, greenpath and crystal peak! btw deepest apolocheese for the ping, please forgive me

I’d say to not use pure pure white, and try a bit more like blue shades in the sky/on the clouds bc it looks a liiiittle flat, and also can strain people’s eyes.

It can work in some cases, but here the piece itself is already very light so it doesn’t offer much in terms of contrast

^^your contrast is extremely low, which makes it very very hard to see the details that i know you put work into. if you can only kinda see it in b/w, then your contrast should probably be higher

^^btw... with regard to colour selection... maybe you should give pixel art a try
^^not to make you learn a new medium, but moreso because emulating some of the colour selections in games like terraria might help
^^i actually wouldnt have the same colour skills if i didnt do that

^^regardless, youre really close. perhaps you should do a study of this img? (basically - you copy the image without tracing it. id advise against posting it on socials etc without the artist (in this case, ryky)'s permission though)
^^experimenting with warmer colours and with being a little sillier with your selection could also help. and damn, i definitely see how stuff like this influenced you!
