hes the leader of a group of bugs from a land called semeia, really far away from hallownest
the members of the group are based on people in my little friend group

||basically she gets experimented on with some weird fricked up magic, and it ends up ripping her body apart with giant crystals but it forces her to stay alive, she tried many ways to kill herself but it never worked since her body just wouldn't die. Cue entrance of main character who carries a weapon that is imbued with very powerful magic itself. This character sees that and asks him to kill her.||
||But then there's the issue of the two grew up together.||
||I'm sure you can imagine how flippin traumatizing it would be to be in that situation.||

^^zolil is the baby snake pokemon. it and its evo are inspired by western hognose snakes, which play dead! the first evo is much more lively and bright.
^^idk how itd evolve but i figure itd be kind of unconventional. ive done a ghost eevee design that evolved if it fainted with high friendship. perhaps if this thing faints after lv35 it has a chance to evolve w/ half health or something instead of faint? idk 🤷 but it has duller colours and a horn and tooth that make it look likt its head was impaled, to really sell the dead look. the shape of the false impalement varies between different thanapoatl.

^there are TWO whole ice penguins in the pokemon games (the dumb ice cube bird and the puplup line), and the only other penguin in the series is delibird.
^^in other news, "normal/ice" is an unused type combo.

^^this ones based on the african penguin. these live down by the southern waters of africa, which is pretty toasty in comparison to where most penguins live. theyre endangered though in part due to global warming.
^^some minor thoughts i had to mirror that with this guy is it hasnt been able to evolve due to its current home being too warm. they use their ice to create shady areas - this one made itself a little hat!
