Personally I’d say the middle. It gives a nice contrast with the spiral but it’s also right in the middle when it comes to facial exposure.

Coming from a art college student, it’s a very subtle change in design… it wouldn’t really be as noticeable to the eye and wouldn’t be much of a big change. I’d also say to save you time with having to deal with the back and fourth of the actual design itself, I’d say it wouldn’t be as beneficial to have a design that would only change very subtly.

Well when it comes to the basics.. I’d suggest working with anatomy. It’s key to start learning early so you can greatly improve on those skills more and more down the line.

That’s my personally intake on advise with what you could try and learn with first!? But personally I just say do whatever you want that makes you happy and just continue doing it.

Eventually you’ll notice sooner or later you’ll become more better over time with the information you’re kinda gathering from different sources, art and places that it’ll just kinda fall into place the more you practice!

Ok so basically, blinking is really fast. Unless you're animating at like... 60 fps, there's no real reason for the eyes to be closed for more than one frame.
If you try to make it more, it ends up being slugglish.

If you're going for a slow blink for whatever reason, still should only be like 3 frames at that speed.

I’ll mention that it makes the animation seem stale (don’t know if that’s the right word) if the rest of the image has zero movement, even just moving the lines like one pixel in between frames helps
