Hmmmm! I think that looks pretty nice as well! The only real critism I can give is remember to shade the belly area, and maybe use stabilizer to make sure that the lines are a bit smoother! Also I’m fine with being pinged ^^

^^your lines seem plenty smooth to me. I do think it would be good to use thinner lines on the face. The coils also don't link very well to each other and vary in thickness all throughout. When I'm doing big wormy snakey things I usually block out the shape with one line first then trace over that. It helps things align a bit better.
^^i can show what I mean if this doesn't make sense.
^^something to also note is that lighting will sill appear in shadowed areas, though I don't know for sure how to show that with hard shaded styles (I like to paint in my shading on add and multiply layers lol so I don't usually have to think sbt that. Sonic X might be a good thing to look at for ideas on how to handle it though)

^^ One of the suggestions to me was to use the same thickness line, hence why I did so. I might have misunderstood though. Yeah, the coils are a bit weird. When I sketched it it was a bit neater, but when I drew it out it... got weird and I didn’t fix it. I am drawing on an iPad mini with an apple pencil on ProCreate. When I get back to my house (am currently away), I use a Wacom Intuos Pro and gimp.

^^using thinner lines for smaller details makes them clearer than if you had done them with thicker ones. ex. the scare/scaly bits; those wouldnt work well if you did them at the same thickness as the main lines.
^^but yeah no i think i was the one that commented on the thicknesses and i definitely didnt mean use the exact same thickness for everything
^^the thing with the coils, i think, is it looks like you drew them one by one and tried to connect them, which is why they look awkward. its actually a big reason why i try to do a line in the position i want it to be, then trace over that line. it can be a bit tricky to get a line that gradually gets smaller though

textures.com paired with blender's Node Wrangler addon is def one of my favorite things ever!! plenty of really good textures there and using Node Wrangler it liike automatically sets up the textures with ctrl shift t and selecting the base color and other texture maps
an easy way to get simple textures is using color ramp nodes with the mustgrave texture and attatching it to the base color

I do one shots and long wind campaigns I like a good homebrew if a player brings it to me I usually try and see how it fits and rebalance it if it doesn't I like homebrew but I always try to balance it against the game and if I can flavor an item to be another item I'll do that instead becuase it's usually quicker and cleaner. I do make a lot of custom items for adventurers to find on their adventures and often make new bestiary entries as well
