I usually try to optimize for consistency over speed and it does show tbh
I can win most any fight with minimal damage taken, often 0 because I try hard to prioritize knowing pretty much every pattern of chaos to control for
I don't do attempts on a pantheon until I can beat each boss in it at least 6 times in a row with 90% health remaining.

I've taken year long breaks occasionally in my 5 odd years of playing. I come back, realize I still can't, and quit again.

I appreciate the advice, I'm just feeling kinda dead and tired of hearing that stupid laugh

But instead, its much more about slower compounding speed. You learn to punish one attack better than before, and then add more. So naturally you reach a point where you can punish the boss every single time it decides to breathe in your direction. That automatically makes you faster. What you are saying implies you NEVER tried to get better in punishing the boss everytime. Its about accuracy. Speed is just muscle memory.

So I think I got kinda misunderstood? I still try and get better at punishing attacks. Fun fact, I used to wait out PV staggers because I tried nail slaps at first and got bapped by him standing up so I switched to ddark because it's safer and also more damage. But I don't do swaps for riskier moves like that. I don't think that's a great idea because it tanks consistency. I'd rather go back to a default "do nothing" than insert a risky/greedy attack because that means dying

I want to attack more. I'm iffy on risky strats though

you get one armoured squit to pogo on which might be able to get you on the mantis early enough to kill, but the odds are that the squit will just dash into the spikes and die meaning your only hope is pogoing the attack

Why are you dying ☠️ to bosses 👨🏼? You should just be using descending dark 🕶. Descending ⬇️ dark 🕶️ gives you iframes 👀 which stop 🛑 you taking damage 😔. It also does a🅰️🅰️ lot of damage 😢. Stop 🛑 dying ☠️ to video 📻📻👾 game 👾 bosses 👨🏼 and just use descending ⬇️ dark 🌑
