The Pale King was kinda neurodivergent about keeping things as-is but he mostly didn't screw things up

I mean yeah, the mass killing of vessels was kinda iffy, but it was just vessels lol. The "common bug" seemed pretty fine under his rule

So... For the jump with sword... It targets you and moves if you dash, however the sword hitbox only like hits close to the ground... so jumping to solve that issue.
The fast jump is kind of random dont think it targets you.
The slow jump hits close to you but not quite on you, unless you dash where its like a 50/50 i think.
minions are annoying and throw up in an arc with the invincibility to start with, The arc and distance is kind of random

Ceiling Drop Attack: This is where GPZ falls through the floor then drops from the ceiling shortly after. Ideally, Ddark then get a few nail hits in for safety + dps. If you don't have enough soul, you need to watch where he's falling from, dash away, and jump over the shockwave, then get some nail hits in. However, this requires pretty good reaction time, so generally just moving in a certain direction then dashing that way usually works. (Fair warning: that does NOT work 100% of the time)

Or also you can stand still and see where he's falling before doing a dash of he's on top of you

After this if you don't ddark you can go for damage by jumping over the shockwave
If you ddark you have free damage

Flail attack (where he runs swinging his nail everywhere): The telegraph for this is him raising his nail. Dash away and jump immediately to avoid this. Tight timing due to the telegraph being quite short, so needs a lot of practice (this is probably the toughest attack to dodge in this fight). Then, keep pogoing then Ddark on him. To be safe, pogo only 2-3 times then Ddark. you'll have to be careful and learn the timings for jumping after the Ddark tho, otherwise you will stay in his hitbox after the i-frames end and die.
If you are close to the wall when he starts this attack, Ddark or jump up as fast as you can. It’s the best chance of surviving.
There's an alternate version of this where he falls down immediately after the telegraph instead, here you can just jump and dash back towards him after doing the same motion for the telegraph, then get a couple nail hits in.
Note: If you are scared that GPZ will stagger if you pogo him (check the Stagger section below), try to get to a wall and stall there till he falls down.

Lastly, his Stagger happens after 19 hits without a combo (don’t worry about getting the combo, it’s quite tough). You don't need to count these hits, but doing so may help avoid deaths (especially during his Flail attack, as pogoing to stagger him will often make his hitbox hit you, leading to death). You can get a dream nail in, and then a nail hit. If you have Dream Wielder, you still can only get 1 Dream Nail in, but can Ddark on him after that. After the Stagger, GPZ either does a Ceiling Fall attack, or a Leaping Attack. Make sure to observe how he jumps after the stagger and react accordingly, or he may jump onto you

Balloon Attack: This is where he spawns balloons (Volatile Zotelings, to be precise), since you're in AB they take 3 hits to die, so you can afford 2 of them to push them around. Additionally, stay on the ground and do not jump in the air. Balloons cannot spawn on you if you stay still while grounded, but can spawn on your trajectory while jumping in the air.
If there's balloons close to you near the ground, Ddark to explode them and get some iframes of push them. if there's balloons further away from you, fireball them to clear out the space then watch for GPZ's next attack. In this attack, you can get a lot of hits on GPZ, but it's often very risky since balloons restrict your movement a lot, and a bad attack means death. The best strategy is to stay still on the ground, wait a moment for GPZ to start his next attack, and then Ddark to i-frame your way through it. By then, most of the balloons should explode and you should be safe.

This is most scary near the middle, and if you have no soul you will need to do a big counterplay

If so, try to push them before GPZ does his attack as once he does you will need to dodge

But if you have to get hit, don't get caught by the explosions as you lose two masks

Now quickly for heals

You can heal once during stagger, but you can't dreamnail into it

A bit risky but you can heal during normal minion spawns

Zotelings Spawn: GPZ pauses for a moment, then spits 1-3 Zotelings out of his mouth. Since you're in AB they take 2 nail hits, 1 shriek, shade soul and the horizontal dive hotbox tick, or 1 nail + one upper dive shockwave. The Zotelings have a small amount of i-frames when spawned, and Shrieking may not take them all out if he spawns multiple. (What happens is that Shrieking too early makes the Zotelings ‘parry’ the shriek as they still have i-frames, and not die. This also often knocks them out of a nail hit range, making you have to deal with them later). Don’t worry about GPZ attacking while you kill the Zotelings. He pauses for quite a while after spawning them.
Effectively, the best strategy is to jump then do an upwards or sideways slash to kill each Zoteling. Be careful of not jumping into the Zoteling, though.
Taking out Zotelings is a priority since they can make survival very tough for you, as they can heavily restrict your options in moving around during GPZ’s attacks.
