I think you could get the gist of it, but actual math I personally found fairly confusing myself

Ordinals are numbers that count order (like first, second, third) in essence. So you can list all natural numbers like ordinals, and then say "I want the one after", and thats how you get the smallest orinal. These were "invented" when trying to index more than a finite number of sets

The technical definition of an ordinal number omega, is the smallest number greater than all natural numbers

And then you can go omega+1 is the smallest number greater than omega and so on and so forth
