But every boss I killed did something that opened a clear way forward (with a few exceptions like false knight)
For example soul master opened an area with a spell that I could use to reach new places
And Hollow Knight didn't do anything like this, instead followed by a credits cutscene
What confuses me is that he seems like a final boss, although I am only halfway through the game

I think the boss got simply a different mask forged for him, to accomodate for his greater dimensions
It wouldn't make sense if they made small mask for big guy

Bones can grow can they not. Also they aren't entirely covered by mask also I think that mask can be manipulated by void or something also it could break. Bugs with exoskeletons grow in real life I'm pretty sure things that appear rigid may stop being under enough stress
