Punishing this attack is impossible as you cannot deal damage to the boss unless you somehow hit it while it's spawning in the white lines, which is usually impossible as the boss spawns too far away and is on the screen for too little time to reach it. If you are using spells, ddarking as soon as the white lines spawn will let you just iframe the entire attack. To survive this attack without using spells, there are two options. First is that you find an area near you completely clear of white lines, get into said area, and just stay there without having to parry, although if the clear area is midair, you may have to do a random pogo and leave it up to luck not to get hit, so this option is best and basically only for when the clear area is accessible while standing on the ground (be sure there aren't any white lines just under the ground as those may be able to hit you if they're too close to the surface). Second is to find an area completely filled with white lines, preferably where many of them intersect, and getting there as soon as possible and upslashing two to three times to parry. The reason for this is because you need at least two parries to survive the burst, and missing the first parry basically guarantees that you get hit as you won’t have the swing back in time or the iframes to survive the great dashes you would normally parry with your second or third swing (parrying immediately lets you swing again). By standing in an area filled with white lines, you’re basically guaranteeing that your first swing will land and parry something, giving iframes and allowing you to swing again to parry the second time.
